Sudan's Bashir to Attend Tana Forum in Ethiopia

Khartoum — The Sudanese president Omer Hassan al-Bashir will fly to Ethiopia on Saturday to attend the TANA High-Level Forum on Security in Africa that is set to start today.
Besides heads of states and governments, the two day event will also see the participation of African and global eminent personalities, CEOs of private sector companies, civil society organizations and think tanks.
It will take place at Lake Tana in the city of Bahir Dar in Ethiopia.
According to the TANA press release, the focus of discussions will be examining and debating peace and security challenges facing the African continent with the theme being "Security and Organized Crime in Africa".
"The Forum will also pay tribute to its champion and biggest advocate, the late Prime Minister of Ethiopia, H.E. Meles Zenawi" the statement said.
The Sudanese president will be accompanied by presidential affairs minister Bakri Hassan Saleh, foreign minister Ali Karti and intelligence director Mohammed Atta.
